Arden was turned into a werewolf via being scratched on his neck by a werewolf during the full moon one night in the 1700s. The werewolf who turned him quickly abandoned him, never mentoring him or teaching him about being a werewolf. Arden was left with no sire and no pack.

After his human family died, he was left with no home and no one. Due to being a werewolf he was now skilled at tracking things and ended up taking jobs to help retrieve stolen goods, and then later retrieve kidnapped people. He became known as a hunter, though he hated the term. He didn’t take jobs to just go and kill monsters, he took jobs where he gets to rescue people and sometimes they involved having to kill the monster who abducted them. He moved from place to place, even other countries, in an attempt to find work and keep himself fed and alive, living off scraps, mostly homeless, and stealing discarded items and clothes.

One job took him to a small town in Germany. A couple hired him to find their daughter, telling Arden that she’d been kidnapped by a vampire. Trusting them, Arden tracked the daughter down only to find out he’d been lied too. In reality, this couple had a son, a trans son, who’d run away in order to be able to live as his true self and had been taken in by a vampire who turned him consensually. This son of theirs, was Ambrose.

As a trans man himself, he understood why Ambrose fled. He apologised and told them that he would lie for them, that he’ll tell Ambrose’s parents he was too late and their daughter had been killed by the vampire. He assured Ambrose of how strong he was. When asked how Arden can be so sure of this this, he replied “because you’re like me, we’re self-made men”. Ambrose gave Arden a lock of his hair to give to his parents as ‘proof’ that Ambrose is dead and that Arden saw the body.

Before Arden could leave, Ambrose stopped him. He was intrigued by Arden and had never met another trans person before. He asked if Arden will visit him again as he has many questions he wants to ask. Arden felt guilty about everything and that Ambrose surely wouldn’t want him, but agreed. Arden mistook all of their friendly conversations during his visits for politeness and doesn’t realise Ambrose is flirting and attempting to court him. Over months the two fell for each other, but Ambrose didn’t realise at first that Arden doesn’t understand what’s happening and that he needs things explained clearly to him. Neither have been in love before, but they couldn’t deny the connection and fondness they have for one another. Ambrose told Arden that he has a home here now, with him and Johann, and they confessed their desire and romantic feelings for one another.

They didn’t get a lot of their in their newfound little family, as Arden sensed trouble. He tracked Ambrose’s scent through the woods to the backpack of a human hunter. They worried that this means Ambrose’s parents have hired more hunters, that they didn’t believe Arden’s story. And so they made plans to bring the move to England forwards and flee as soon as they could.

They didn’t pack quickly enough. A few weeks later as Arden is patrolling the forest to make sure the house is safe, he smelt humans and burning wood creeping into the forest. A mob from Ambrose’s hometown was stalking through the woods towards Johann’s house. Arden attempted to reason with them, or if unsuccessful then kill them if it came to it.

Ambrose and Johann were discussing the move and Ambrose’s relationship with Arden, when Johann started to hear the commotion outside. He knew it was already too late. He urged Ambrose to flee, that Johann will keep the mob busy and by the time they realise Ambrose isn’t here he will already be far out of their reach. Johann tells Ambrose he’s happy that Ambrose found someone and calls Ambrose his son for the first time, before rushing to fight off the intruders.

While Arden rushed to the house, injured from trying to fight the entire mob on his own, the house became a bloodbath. Ambrose refused to leave. The mob entered the house, wrecking it, and while Johann put up a good fight, he was one old, tired vampire against almost twenty humans. The moment Johann’s body fell, Ambrose saw red. To this day he can’t remember what happened, just that angry overtook him and he became a monster.

When Arden arrived at the house, every single human was dead. There was blood everywhere, the bodies torn through and splayed out across the floor, and in the middle knelt Ambrose, cradling Johann’s body. Ambrose confesses what he had done, and that Johann is dead, expecting Arden to fear him as he know fears himself and leave. But Arden wasn’t going anywhere, he didn’t want to leave, he still wanted this life with Ambrose. And so he pledged himself to Ambrose, close to saying “I love you” but holding back and saving it for a time Ambrose was less distressed. Arden tells Ambrose they cannot stay there long, that they have enough time to bury Johann, but they have to move because people will realise soon that these humans aren’t coming home. He gathers things for Ambrose, as Ambrose says goodbye to Johann. Ambrose asks to keep Johann and Mathias’ wedding rings and a portrait of the two of them, reassured by Arden that no one will be mad at him for it. They bury Johann with the portrait he kept of just Mathias. After the grave is dug, and Johann is laid to rest, Arden promises Ambrose he will always come for him, and Ambrose promises he will always wait for him.

The two of them travelled to England safely and move into a castle that had belonged to Mathias. They reside there to this day, still in love and devoted to one another.

Personality

Arden comes across grumpy and unfriendly at first due to him being distrustful of others and not being able to control his tone, body language and facial expressions well. His wariness of others comes from the many years he spent alone, and bullying he received growing up for not understanding social cues and when people were lying to him (which he would later lean are symptoms of his autism).

Once you get to know him, you’d find he’s kind and caring and very protective. He appears gruff and intimidating, but he gets flustered easily when complimented and deep down wants to have someone else take care of him. He gets annoyed easily, but this is mostly due to his sensory issues and on top of that having hyper senses since being turned into a werewolf.

He always idolised medieval knights and when younger would fantasize about getting to be the personal knight for a pretty prince or princess. To him, his motorcycle and gear is his modern way of feeling like an armoured knight on the back of a horse.

Arden only still has one item from his human life, and that’s his childhood teddy bear. Though falling apart, it’s still well loved and Arden insecure about others knowing about it. Arden has troubles with paternal figures and it took him a long time to get comfortable with it, but he does experience age regression and Ambrose is his caregiver. No one else knows that he age regresses, it's a very personal and private.

Arden does have autism and his special interest is Transformers, which also ties into his love for his motorcycle. His taste in music is a mix of rock and folk music including artists like: Ghost, Pink Floyd, Måneskin, Hozier, The Amazing Devil, Yaelokre.

Appearance

Before meeting Ambrose, Arden was bad at taking care of himself. He struggled to remember too, or at times he did remember struggled to get himself to do anything, and when it came to cutting his hair it frustrated him that he didn’t know how to do it right and that it just kept growing back fast that he gave up. By the time he met Ambrose his hair was down to his waist and a mess of tangled curls. Ambrose now regularly cuts his hair for him and he keeps it usually down to his shoulders. He constantly has a layer of stubble, not enough to be a full beard.

Arden has scars across his body, the most prominent one being the claw mark across the left side of his neck, the mark that turned him into a werewolf.

He’s got muscle but also some layer of fat, particularly on his stomach, and a lot of body hair that’s thickest across his chest and down the middle of his waist to and continuing around his genitals. He has t-anchor scars from his top surgery, and a hyper tdick that was bolstered in growth by the testosterone he got from the werewolf scratch.

As a werewolf, in his human form Arden can choose to have his wolf ears and tail out, or can choose to keep both or either hidden. His wolf form is significantly taller, covered in brown fur that matches his hair colour, and his tdick grows in size with him and gains a knot at it’s base.

He’s not too fussed about clothing. He prefers things that are easy and comfortable to wear, nothing too bright or flashy. Loose tops, old t-shirts, leathers and jeans are good enough for him. When he first met Ambrose he was wearing clothes centuries out of fashion due to scavenging them.

Relationships

Ambrose: Arden’s partner, lover and mate. While the two of them met under what most would consider bad circumstances, they found each other at the perfect moment in their lives. While initially bonding over both being trans and non-humans who once were human, Arden is oblivious that Ambrose has been courting him and thought he was just being friendly. Once Ambrose realises he needs to be more clear with Arden about his intentions, Arden is scared. He was scared of letting anyone in, and worried that like everyone else Ambrose will think because of his appearance that he will be in charge and take care of others when really he wants the opposite. But Ambrose loves taking care of others. The two have been together for over three hundred years. They are both ambiamorous but in that they would welcome a third partner into their relationship, but are also happy to just be with each other. They could not and would not see other people without each other being involved.

Johann: Arden and Johann were never very close, but Johann understood and accepted that Ambrose loved him and came to trust that Arden meant well and could help protect the house and Ambrose. Arden was always a little intimidated by Johann, knowing that he meant a lot to Ambrose he wanted Johann to like him and worried that Johann didn't think he was good enough for Ambrose. They sadly didn't get the time to develop their relationship and find out if they could become good friends or not.

Kinks

Arden is a switch and top-leaning vers. He’s comfortable dominating, but deep down wants to be taken care off. He has a lot of bottom dysphoria so very rarely will he ever want his front hole mentioned let alone penetrated. trusts only Ambrose to restrain him or top him. Usually, sex between them consists of no dynamics, or Ambrose dominating Arden while instructing Arden on how to be a good puppy and has Arden top him.

When dominating he loves making the other his mate and calling them a puppy and breeding them, whether in his human form or shifting into his werewolf form. Ambrose is strictly a dominant so Arden would never dom Ambrose, but Ambrose can enjoying watching Arden dom someone else.

And Arden enjoys getting to play with another pup and show Ambrose what a good job he can do of training someone else, just as Ambrose trained him.

As a submissive, he loves being praised, being called the other person’s puppy, being treated like a pet, being talked about as if he wasn’t there, being collared and leashed. He calls Ambrose ‘sir’ and their sub/dom dynamic is that Ambrose is his ‘owner’ and Arden is his ‘puppy’ with Ambrose training Arden how to be a good boy, praising him and letting him relax and be taken care of.

On rare occasions, he will ask Ambrose to hypnotise him and fuck him, and they roleplay omegaverse dynamics with Arden being an omega in heat who needs Ambrose to fuck him. Ambrose does enjoy being called ‘daddy’ as he likes taking care of others and it’s gender affirming, but it would be a difficult thing for Arden. If Arden ever tried it out he would be very deep into a subspace and crying a lot and need a lot of check-ins, but it could be healing for him.
