Lore

Lucien prides himself on his Kingdom's kindness and inclusivity. When he was a teenager he started worshipping the God of War, praying for inner strength to help himself transition and to also help uplift and support his people, to help his kingdom become a safe space for those who are oppressed and marginalised.

At some point during his reign as King, Lucien found out about the trouble that was going on in Lysander's city and wanted to help. He started arranging meetings between them, despite Lysander's distrust of him. Lysander has never been able to put any trust or faith in people who are in positions of power, whether employers or politicians or royalty, but Lucien seems so... nice. Good. And that can't be right? Lysander couldn't believe someone could be that nice without something ot gain, without some agenda.

But as time passes, Lucien proves himself to really just be doing this out of the goodness of his heart, because he sees goodness in Lysander. Lysander believes what he's doing is right, that he's doing it for the good of other people, but he doesn't believe he's a good person. Yet Lucien tells him that he is. And it annoys Lysander because it makes him... feel.

And Lucien ends up helping too much, or doing something to help that makes Lysander feel inept. Who does Lucien think he is? Swooping in with his riches and power? Doing this that Lysander couldn't because he didn't have the money or his body would give out on him? And maybe Lysander takes it as Lucien trying to make him feel small and poor, but that isn't how Lucien meant it. And Lysander knows that deep down. But it's easier to get angry at Lucien than accept that it's okay if he wants or needs help. So instead he gets angry.

Lysander knows he's wrong for blowing up at Lucien, for pushing him away. And after spending time feeling sorry for himself, he goes to see Lucien. He shows up at Lucien's doorstop and apologies. And Lucien just... accepts it. This stupidly kind mind just accepts it and says he understand and he apologies for overstepping, that he should have consulted Lysander, that he didn't want to cross any boundaries. Lucien tells him that he's been doing a good job and that wall inside him just comes crumbling down.

For the first time, Lysander stays the night, in his own room that Lucien has set aside for him. And in the morning Lucien invites him for breakfast. And then on a walk, touring his gardens, and Lysander snaps and asks what the fuck all of this is. And Lucien says he just wants to help, but admits over time he has developed one ulterior motive. And Lysander thinks yes, finally, he's got him. But then Lucien says "I just wanted an excuse to keep seeing you".

Lysander calls him a stupid man. Blusters and tries to act like he doesn't understand what Lucien is getting at. But he does. And Lucien just stands there patiently, until Lysander has finished ranting, and then asks Lysander if he can court him. If he can kiss him.

And finally, Lysander says yes.

When Lysander sees Lucien's scars for the first time, he realises that Lucien too has received blessings from the God of War, and it makes him revaluate Lucien more. For one to be so dedicated a follower and be blessed with a gift… Lucien must have faced hardships too. He must have been through something that made War take notice of him. It hits Lysander hard, makes him reconsider his thoughts about Lucien, his assumption that Lucien has had an easy, spoiled life.

Personality

Lucien is incredibly kind and gracious, but when he was younger this could lead to him being too much of a people-pleaser and he still can struggle with saying no to other's requests of him, feeling guilty if he denies anyone anything, even if it's something he's uncomfortable with doing. He loves taking care of other people through acts of service. He can hold himself to high standards in order to be the best he can for his people and often overwork himself.

Appearance

Lucien is tall, taller than most humans due to his angel lineage which also grants him wings the same colour as his rich brown hair. Despite the angel blood in his veins, he is still part human and not closely related enough to an angel that he is still mortal. He has piercing blue eyes, his hair long and wavy, and keeps his beard and moustache neatly groomed. He has some scars across his body from various fights to defend his kingdom and people. His flame shaped top surgery and bottom surgery scars due to them being gifts from the God of War. He has a muscular from his constant training and working out.

Lucien usually wears reds and golds, with layered robes, or furs in the winter. He has single lobe piercings in each of his ears.

Relationships

Lysander: They start out as allies, though Lysander is distrustful of Lucien's intentions at first. Until Lucien breaks through Lysander's walls and shows he truly does want to help Lysander's people, but also that he's fallen in love with him. That they both have fallen in love with each other.

God of War: Lucien has worshiped the God of War and recieved a blessing from him in the form of his physical gender transition.

Kinks

As a dom, Lucien loves taking care of others, being a service top, having them call him 'Daddy', seeing someone let their guard and walls down and become undone and plead and ask for pleasure, having his sub cockwarm him and staying inside them, coming inside and a breeding kink. He's not into punishing his sub.
