Angels can fall two ways. Any angel can fall by reviv- ing a recently deceased person, they have the powers to revive one person and if they do they will fall and lose most of their powers. Or, if an angel has pledged themselves to a God, it grants them greater powers but gives the God the ability to strip them of those powers causing them to fall.

Solas was once a guardian angel, tasked with watch- ing over a specific area and its inhabitants. But he fell with one of the humans living there. While angels can fall in love, it is considered unprofessional to fall in love with one of your charges. Solas was too shy and scared to ever approach them, and it's against the rules of a guardian angel to reveal themselves to their charges. But one day, the human was hit by a car speeding through a pedestrian crossing, and as they laid dying... Solas revealed himself to them. He took the human in his arms and used his grace to revive them, causing him to fall. The revival also causes everyone involved to lose their memories of the event.

Now he wanders Earth, unsure how to fit in with humans or how they act. And he continues to watch from a distance over the human he revived, still in love with them but scared to approach them.

Personality

Solas comes across awkward and introverted as he doesn't know much about humans and doesn't understand their customs or how to navigate conversations. He's naturally shy and curious and while making connections is difficult for him he does want to form connections with people and desperatley wants to be loved.

Appearance

In his angel form, Solas has long curly hair that fades from a pale yellow to a pastel orange that flicks up at the ends like fire. Because he was a guardian angel, he has two sets of wings on his back and a smaller pair where his ears would be if he were human. Before he fell his halo was a complete circle but now it's shattered at the top. He has feather fluff on his body and top surgery scars.

In his human form, Solas has long curly blonde hair that falls in front of his left eye. Despite it being a more human disguise, he still retiains his gold eyes and flushes in shades of yellow and orange. He does't know what clothes are popular for humans and is just drawn soft fabrics and embroidered details. As a leftover from when he was a Ghost OC, he wears a grucifix necklace and is a fan of the band.

Alt Lore (Ghost band OC)

Solas was originally a Ghost (the band) OC and I'm still happy to see him depicted as an OC from my original world or as a Ghost band OC Accepted as a brother of sin despite being an angel. He fell from Heaven for not agreeing with the rules and ideals up there, fell to Earth, transitioned, and later discovered The Ghost Project. It took a while to prove he really wanted to join them, but willingly pledged himself to his new church and to Hell.

His angel form at full height is 9'4" but will often shrink down to 6'4". His human form's height is 5'11". He puts his head wings around his face when shy, flustered, embarrassed, etc. He's constantly worried he isn't fully accepted for being an angel, and that people find his true form intimidating, horrifying or scary. The first one to see his true form was Papa Secondo. After taking his first communion, all the flames on the candles in the room burst into larger flames for a few moments. Secondo confronted Solas afterwards and in a panic Solas revealed himself. It took a long time for the Ghouls to trust him. He's protective of Secondo and is usually seen around him, helping out with work but also acting as a body guard if he has too. After one particular incident, the Ghouls started warming up to him. Ifrit was the first to befriend him, curious as to how a fire angel works. An unlikely friendship as Solas is more reserved and shy. On Heaven fire elementals were treated with more caution as they were considered more unpredictable. Solas slowly tries to learn he isn't a monster and that he isn't inhernintly bad or dangerous.
